SMS GupShup App for Android and Symbian OS

The SMS based social networking platform, SMS GupShup is all set to launch apps for the Android and Symbian operating systems. This platform is basically used to send free messages to free messages to friends. This app is being developed for the smartphone users so that they can make the most out of this service.

The app will be based on the SMS platforms as the data connection among the smartphones too is quite low in India and many places do not possess proper wireless connectivity, thus using the app will not cost the users any charge for the data connectivity, nor will they have to wait for anything to download.

Facebook integration will also be offered with the app and the users will be able to update their Facebook account and check out the other updates even in the absence of any data connectivity.

Users who are interested in joining the GupShup service can do so by typing “JOIN (group name)” and sending it to 567678 and then you can ask you friends to join the group. Besides this you can also create a group by sending “Create” group name to 567678. Once you have joined the group you can send messages is very easy. All you need to do is send the message to one particular number and each member of the group will receive that message.
